They scan the bags and will open them to check what kind of liquids you are carrying.

Maybe that is why you signed the paper. We definitely never signed any papers.

I didn't see it in person but there are at least two drone videos taken by guests now on instagram now.

I have a late night flight ex-MLE. Anyone know what time the SR Lounge on MLE is open until?

I'd imagine they'll keep it open as long as flights are departing. There is also a first/business class lounge in the airport. Food sucked after eating at StR for 6 days, but it beats seating at the gate.

Last flight, so about 16:30 or so. It was the same for us - last seaplane back at 3pm, departing flight on EK at 22:30, so lots of time.

I strongly recommend getting the free MLE tour. Malé is obviously very different from the islands, but the tour is free (pay the ferry fare of $3 and pay for your guide's ticket out of fairness, but no other costs) but an interesting perspective on this society.

Here is my review:

To clarify, are you saying SR MLE Lounge stays open until last flight out of MLE that night? I'm aware the last seaplane out of the resort is about 16:30, but was curious about the lounge once in MLE.

I'm on CX flight at 23:05, so like you, we're going to have lots of time "to kill."

I look forward to reading your review. (The one on breakfast was nuts!)

Isn't it just for arriving guests?

I really hope there are no drones when we go. The whole point of going to the ends of the earth is for privacy.

New video showing the resort on SPG Facebook page.

(which, incidentally, appears to have been filmed mainly from a drone....)

you can chill in the lounge on departure as well. i stayed for a couple hours until about 5pm for a 7-ish flight. there didn't seem to be any rush to shoo people out.
