Am I still eligible for the double play promotion on this booking?

Thanks!
As long as the room rate earns starpoints, it is eligible.

Hi sunseeker,

You may find the answer in FAQ.

If I check in before January 5, 2015, or check out after April 15, 2015, but some of my stay is in the eligible stay time period, does my stay earn the bonus?

Yes, as long as two nights of the stay are within the promotion period, bonus Starpoints will be earned on every night during the entire stay (even if part of the stay falls outside the promotion period).

Great. The second promotion in a row where all of my upcoming stays are at excluded hotels. The list seems to change at random as well. Last promotion it was a different set of hotels. Not happy at all and I have complained to SPG.

Dear Lurker,

I had a stay checkin on Jan. 3 and checkout Jan.7, 2015. For this stay, am I qualify for the promotion? Can I get full double points from this stay? And I will get 4 night credit. How many nights can i get for promotion nights? 2 or 4?

Thanks!

Max

Participating Properties

I have a question that's been bugging me for some time. Why would a property decide not to take part of a particular promotion? Are they limited to the number of promotions they can decline over, say, the course of a few years? I'm sure there is a good reason such as they are booking at 90%+ anyway, etc but I thought I'd throw it out there in case there are more details.

Happy New Year! Glad to start off the year with this promotion.

Mike

What bugs me most is that the double points only come for stays of a minimum of two nights...due to business-requirements I have a bunch of single-night stays that all would not be eligible for bonus-points

In consequence I have cancelled a few stays in early January and February onwards where I only have one night and stay with Marriott instead since their double points promo has no such minimum number of nights...

Greetings - Dirk

There always has to be one person with this situation...

I checked in 1/4, checked out 1/6. So, I don't qualify for the double points. But does the night from 1/5-1/6 count towards the 5 nights/1000 points bonus? I think so, but it's not addressed as clearly in the FAQ.

Taken in conjunction with what Christina posted, I think this helps to clarify it:

Will eligible stays or nights prior to registration count toward my earning?

Yes, as long as the member registers by March 31, 2015, any eligible paid stay from January 5, 2015, through April 15, 2015, will count toward earning.

Assuming you've registered, the night of 1/5, if booked at an eligible rate at a participating property, would certainly fall within the promotion dates, so it should count towards the 5 nights/1000 points bonus.

Talking happy me!

registered and booked three trips; and for once ALL the properties I am staying in are in the promo! (I have been in the grumble lane before)
This did tip me to go ahead with the Sheraton Maui instead of a villa rental we had been inclined toward. Thanks SPG!
