New website won't remember username only, please fix
If I use the remember me option on new SPG website it won't log me out and it's a security risk. In the past if I logged out but the username box will still have my saved form data (Google Chrome) and all I have to type is the first number and all the number comes out (based on Chrome form date saved option). New website if I logged out I needed to type in my membership number all over again without the saved Chrome autofilled option.
The Chrome autofilled option is helpful that you don't have to memorized account numbers for login and gives you the security option of still the need to enter the password manually. Please change it back.

a step backwards
I must agree -- crucial information that was immediately available in the old interface (stays, points, account activity) is now hiding in sub menus and different pages. Someone at SPG seems to think that a cute user interface is more important than information. The new version suffers from the Window 8 disease -- while you can "unify" the interfaces for different devices (desktop and touch), the result is the worst of both worlds, and a suboptimal user experience.
Can I please have the old interface back?
Can I please have the old interface back?
This new website fails in so many ways:
1) This website is clearly with the philosophy that everyone uses a tablet or touch screen with these big buttons, and as a result too much dead space and not enough information.
2) Overboard specialization of pages. Instead of one page that one can have the option to do 4-5 tasks of your choice now to do a specific task you need to navigate to a specific page, and that's assuming you know exactly where to navigate.
3) Information that users truly care about are well-hidden or hard to find. Total nights, total stays, current year stays and nights, years being elite, account start date, etc. etc.
4) Webpages are vertically designed with dead space on the sides, meaning some webpages are unnecessarily long that one needs to scroll deep down for some meaningful information. Again, this is designed for tablets, touch screen users, not desktop/laptop users, as a result, you are very unlikely to get anything useful right away when you pull up a page, you need to remember to keep scrolling the mouth down.
I hope SPG website 2.0 is much better...

An extra column has appeared on the "My Starpoints Recent Activity" listing page, showing the number of "Eligible Nights" for each Stay entry.

I noticed this recently as well. But be aware that this column may not be 100% correct. I stayed two nights on a C&P award at W Union Square in September, but those nights do NOT appear as eligible nights in the column (only a " - " in the list). However, the two nights have been posted correctly in my x nights/stays so far this year-counter.

I guess it depends on what the definition of an "eligible night" is : award stays are eligible nights when counted towards yearly counts, but not eligible nights when it comes to, for example, promotional bonuses.
FWIW, the official definition is :

Perhaps a Lurker could clarify what is being shown ?

Interesting interactions with the website today.
My SET code is in my profile, but it's not automatically selected as a Rate Preference. When I select SET, I need to type in the code (which means I need to go to my profile and copy/paste).
Searching in Bangalore, rates are shown in INT. Selecting USD under currency conversion does nothing. Selecting any currency does nothing.
And best of all, "SELECTEER UW KAMER" and "KAMERS VERBERGEN", where "Select room type" and "hide rooms" (or something similar) normally show. Google translate tells me it's Dutch.
And when I typed "Bangalore" in the search, two properties appeared in the drop-down/type-ahead, but the full results showed all 9.

Just noticed a thoughtful tweak that seems to have appeared recently - stay credits posted in My Starpoints Activity now have the day of the week appended to the date :
Sheraton Buthole Hotel
Sat 03/07/2015 - Sun 03/08/2015
^
Though it's a pity that they didn't take the opportunity, while they were coding this, to replace the 'international ambiguous' date format and make it consistent with the format (Sat Mar 07 2015) now on the booking screen.

I actually had to Google it, to see if there really was such a hotel, you know, just in case. Fortunately, there wasn't. It did assume I meant the Sheraton Athlone Hotel though.

Is there something wrong with the website or is it just my browsers? I'm using Chrome and Internet Explorer.

I don't see any problems on viewing the SPG website.
