Given that the previous version of spg had <Firstname>, I'm wondering why this new version has reverted to <Title> <Lastname>. IMHO that seems a bit stiff and Olde Worlde for a site that's just been updated for the tablet generation. Wouldn't <Firstname> <Lastname> have been better ?

Yes, same here! After seeing that nothing had actually been 'updated' I's less worried, but I also changed the password.

Does anyone else find this offensive?
MR./MRS. XXXXX?
What about for people whom there won't be a Mrs not now, nor ever?
Plus - particularly when SPG do not let (or encourage) partners use your SPG account, it really does look both very lazy and feels impersonal.

Old version: All information, including relevant member information (left hand side of the screen), plus ads (right hand side of the screen) neatly fit into one screen without needing to scroll.
New version: Font type 32 everywhere, 3 screen scrolls long, half of relevant member information half way down (the other half I haven't found yet), tucked in between ads above and below.

Don't like it. Very cluttered and ad heavy, old version was much more user friendly.
It is saying something when the HHonors account display section looks better than this new SPG variant.

WOW !!! Maybe New feature ?
When i try to apply Your24
Platinum Member Upgrade
Being a Platinum Member entitles you to the best available room at check-in.
My Upgrade Preference
1.Highest floor
2.Best view
3.Largest room
Request Changes to My Room Selection
1.I'm confirmed with 2 beds but I would prefer 1 bed if available
2.No connecting door
Very impressive feature
Trace back starpoint activity in my page up to 2011

You can set these preferences in your profile BUT, check out the "Set Your Preferences" on each of your stays.
Now you can customize your upgrade choices, Platinum Amenity choice, select MAGC and add a Special Request for each stay.
Choose Arrival Time, Checkout Time (request late checkout).

There's a lot of unnecessary "bling" on the front page etc, however...
the "personalize" page with its room preference features, bedding changes and clear upgrade info looks very promising!. I'm trying this out for my next stay, but staying clear of reconfiguring any latter stays before I have firsthand experience!

For the latter, they should have just waited another few months to actually redesign everything before launching this.

Does anyone know how i can pre-select the platinum amenity and magc program?
All i can see on "my stay preferences" are:
-your24 benefit
-platinum member upgrade (largest room, higher floor, etc.)
-request changes to my room selection (bed type)
Thanks!

Did you go to "My Stays" and then select "Set Stay Preferences" for that specific stay?
