This bonus applies to regular mileage transfers and not to Nights & Flights awards.

So when AA gets the miles, they can tell if they came from N&F or a regular transfer?

Nights & Flights are ordered together as Travel Awards, not strict mileage transfers, so they are not going to appear that way to AA.

Should be worth more to everyone. I wish I could do the opposite and convert airline miles to SPG.

Got my first transfer

I did the transfer of 60,000 SPG points. 75,000 miles were added and then an additional 15,000 miles were added labeled "SI 20% bonus point conversion". Total 90,000...first of many!

Cheers!

Not to me. 60k SPG are worth $1,700 to me. With 90k AA I can get almost 1.5 flights USA-HKG/BKK in Cathay F, which means ~$1,150 each way. To me, that is a bargain. To people that only fly economy, or only fly domestically, SPG may very well be more valuable.

One can make it where the value is whatever one wants it to be. Whether it be SPG Starpoints or AA AAdvantage Miles, I only spend them if I can get $0.03/Starpoint of $0.03/Mile.

I have a strange problem when I tried to transfer, and I've tried using both IE and Chrome.

I started from AA.com, pressed <covert> and followed through until I got the screen when I entered the number of points, and the <continue> was supposed to take me to a review screen, but it took me to the SPG screen that listed my 'Recent Activity.'

It means that I have no idea if the transfer worked (probably not,) or what else to do to get the transfer done. When I check my SPG account, the points are the same.

Is this happening to anyone else? I don't know what else to try.

With the details of the merged AA/US program unknown, I am a little reluctant transferring the miles. Maybe they will announce it in July
