Just noticed this property on spg.com this morning. Very good news to have more SPG options in Phuket area.

W Retreat Phuket, Phang Nga Bay.

Lurker, do you have more info on this?

I do. It's right at the bottom. Anyway it doesn't matter, it's not open for booking and no scheduled date of opening is listed. But good to know.

Googling "w retreat hotel phuket -samui" has:
  1. Ministry of Design: "villa-only development ... "
  2. this guy also saw that listing on spg.com which is gone now
