Question? Are the above rates outside of the six week window? Is this the reason why these strange rates are showing?

Some yes and some not...

And if you change the dates of my italy " found " into 29.11.2013 - 01.12.2013 the results will be the exactly same...

Other date for Sheraton Genova: 22.11.2013 - 24.11.2013 ==> 92 / 350 Euro

The W Retreat Maldives doesn't show up on a beach search but does on a resort one! Also noticed that additional hotels have been added over the course of the day. Most frustrating website.

Another error in the Search programming : the Four Points by Sheraton Raleigh Durham Airport is not found when using 'Raleigh' or 'Durham' as search terms.

Looks like it's only looking at the actual address, since using 'Morrisville', or 'Carolina' (which are in the address of the property) as a search term does find it.

Another error: the Westin Europa & Regina in Venice does not come up in a search for "Italy".

A bit like the C&P joke.. raising the rate to increase availability, and now having availability decreased and only available at higher rates..
The Scammy-ness of SPG is growing tiresome.

Just end this failed marketing experiment, fire the marketing person who "invented" it and the developers who executed it and bring back the SET for beatthetimer, as well as Starpicks. Done. (This is coming from someone who has stayed over 100 nights at SPG properties this year.)

For all those complaining, please remember Starpicks, started off very poorly.

I believe, this product shouldn't have been release without some input from the community. I don't think the website/UI for this is good, but why not give SPG a chance to improve it as they did with Starpicks??

Beat The Timer beat Starpicks any day. And it beats Hot Escapes, too. Perhaps the US crowd didn't use BTT that much, but we on the right side of Greenwich certainly did.

It's not just the UI that needs improvement... it's also the number of deals. I think I've counted about 6 deals in Europe (had to view all the deals because there isn't a "Europe" option as someone mentioned) where as BTT had many more deals. Doesn't seem like an improvement there. Also, we're now restricted to a six week window. Again not an improvement. If this was simply to combine both Starpicks and BTT into one site (with a new UI), then that's fine. But IMO, this is just another devaluation under the guise of "SPG Hot Escapes."

I can live with the UI headaches. The six week window is troubling for those who like to plan our travel in advance and that's likely here to stay. We can see if the number of deals increase but I doubt it.
