I think that referred to the Limitless Earnings promo, valid for NA and French Polynesia only.

Thank you SPG. ^

William,

Question: checking-in Jan 12, Checking out Jan 16.

also checking -in April 14 , checking out April 18

would these stays be eligible for earning bonus points. I know on previous promotions the answer was yes. just checking on this one.

Now it affects my ability to use my points to get bonus for nights stayed.

Seems an ok promo but nothing more than that.

Great for people who stay about 20 nights in the promo period but not people who stay longer.

Also strikes me it favours those who stay at lower cost properties as it has no relationship to spend, so someone staying at a $ 70 Aloft gets same bonus as those paying $ 500 a night at a St. Regis!

So guess as with all promos if you fit within the above its great, if you dont it might be a bit disappointing and certainly wont do much to get anyone to stay past 20 stays which seems a glaring mistake really!!

It's going to be a little different this time.

A stay that begins or ends outside the promotion period will be eligible, but only the nights that fall within the promotion period will be bonused.

So, in your example, January 15 will be bonused, but January 12, 13 & 14 will not.

Similarly, April 14 & 15 will be bonused, but April 16 & 17 will not.

William,

Are you confident that the SPG IT Group are up for that challenge?

Works for me. Thanks! I wish the limit was higher, however will switch to burning points after 20 nights.

Decent promo for 20 nights, but once the 20 nights are earned (for me anyway - 3 nights/week I'll hit it end of Feb) I'll hop onto another chain and milk their promo, as there is no incentive to keep going. 18k is a low cap for a Jan - Apr timeframe for people who stay at an spg property every week.

I agree and see it as Stay 20 nights and get almost 1 Cat6 night for free(or 4 Cat2 nights) Hey its better then nothing but imo nothing to be jumping up & down and rubbing my hands together over. And dont think it worth paying for 4 nights to get 2k over using C&P if its available. Had it been Stay 20 get 5 free nights that would have been something else

Good timing. I should be finishing off MR lifetime PLT (unless the significantly change the rules) mid-January, and I'll be back to work on the 100-ish nights to SPG lifetime PLT. It will seem very odd to have more than 27 stays this year. 18K bonus points will be a nice bonus.
