There are still some CSRs that have not learned the rules for this new benefit. I just did a two-room stay on C&P and both rooms posted for stays and nights as they should.

Personally, I have not done the partial payment trick, but do suspect it would work. Again, the trick is to make sure your payment is the last one shown on the account. If this concerns you, then using gift cards (even those from a grocery store - MC or Visa branded) should work as they should be the same as paying cash.

Edit: Also looked back and http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/19847453-post25.html says multiple rooms do count for this particular promo.
Thank you again. 1 more question. I am booked with a AAA rate.....does that make any difference when it comes to getting points and stays credited?

None at all. And don't let them try to say otherwise. Again, there are some inside SPG (corporate & hotels) that don't know the rules and make up answers. I know it's tough trying to tell the difference, but that's what FT and the Lurkers are here for.

Pretty much the only thing that can throw you out is if you book outside SPG. Online, on the phone, or at a hotel.

Starwood Lurkers,

My question is related to the new SPG Promo for AEROPLAN (www.spgpromos.com/aeroplan2013) While the wording on the promo seems to stackable with this current SPG Power Up promo, but I thought I would double-check with your team and be 100% sure it is stackable.

Thanks.

Yes, you could combine both of these offers, but each has it's own set of terms and conditions to meet if you wish to benefit from both simultaneously.

C&P / Points Only

I've never understood why the promotions don't start immediately after the last one ends. Is my loyalty not appreciated for the two weeks between the end of the Better by the Night promotion and the start of this one? It would be nice if my nights between Jan 1-15 counted too, as that will probably be the difference for me of reaching the 20 nights.

I don't know too much about C&P and point bookings. Do they count for the promotion?

C&P

crazy as it may sound, C&P counts towards status, and although you are paying for the night in part, they would not count towards promos, looks like this will cost me 10K...

I see you went to page one to get that quote. Had you gone to page two you would have seen the Lurker's response saying no. Page 2

No, they would not count for any promotional offers, but they do earn stay/night credit towards elite earning/requalification.

Sorry in advance if I missed the answer to this question.

I am thinking of booking 2 nights at the Westin Tokyo. As I am checking in on a weekend day, it qualifies for the book 2 get 1 free. Would this count as 3 nights for the Power Up promotion?

Thank you in advance.

Rooms vs. nights

I want to be sure I understand how many nights' credit I will receive in the promotion for 2 rooms in the same hotel on the same night, 2 separate reservations (suggested by SW social media rep to get proper points' credit). I think it's 2. Please confirm. Please don't refer me to quote #25. Thank you.

See post # 20 for a similar question that was asked previously.
