IMHO, it's always good to let the hotel know ahead of check-in how many people will be staying in the room.

Also check if the hotel adheres to SPG family policy. If they do and the room can accommodate the number of people stated then the hotel should not charge you for children if they sleep in your bed (or in your crib of course).

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but couldn't find anything more current. I am trying to book a room for 3-4 adults in Anaheim on points. So it looks like I would have to pay $20/ per person for any adults over 2. I knew you got this charge in Europe but didn't know that it was also for the US - is it correct?

And it is also trying to charge me for 2 more rollaways but the room I am trying to book has 2 queens so we don't need any additional bedding. Can I do this online or do I have to call?

Yes, per the T&C, the awards are for a MAXIMUM of 2 ppl. Anything above that is a charge though individual hotels may waive that.

You do have to call for any arrangements other than standard.

I suspect that when you book a room on points, two queens aren't guaranteed.

How much for the 3rd person

I have reservation with points for Sheraton Suites in Philadelphia. Room description is:
Double room, non-smoking: King + Double Bed, Non-smoking, 430 sq ft / 40 m˛, Sweet Sleeper Bed, Large Work Area, 32 And 37 Inch Lcd Tvs, High-speed Internet For A Fee

Then, there is enough space for 3 adults, but when I did the reservation; only let me add 2 adults to be able to pay with points. Should I call ahead of time before going there, or just deal with the hotel the same day since my Room choice clearly have enough space for up to 4 adults and we are only 3.

The hotel is completely sold out for my dates. I am afraid they deny me access to my reserved room if I bring a third person or make me pay Outrageous fees

Thanks,
