Now shows "Opening September 1, 2014".

Starwood to open Element Frankfurt Airport [planned opening September 1, 2014]
I was at the Park Inn in January and it looks like there is still a ways to go on the element so the push back doesn't surprise me. About a week before my stay at the Park Inn I stayed at the Sheraton FRA (upon arrival in FRA ) because they had what I considered a low rate for that property. Overall I have noticed lower rates at the Sheraton since the opening of the two Hilton properties.

Ikea (Moxy) will also open a hotel close to the Element next year. The whole Gateway Gardens community will grow, hence it is difficult to predict the rates. I do not see them being much cheaper than other Sheratons in Frankfurt at this point.

I would expect them to be on the level of the Sheraton Congress, ranging from 75 to 125 EUR on non-tradefair dates. I don't see them being able to charge much more. If they offer parking and park&fly rates, this could be a very worthwile property for that.

Although it is possible to walk to terminals 2 and even 1 in 10 to 15 minutes, it's definitely not a nice walk: narrow sidewalks next to very busy roads.

I agree on the price range and just as an FYI that is usually the price range for the Park Inn which has turned into my "go to" budget property in the area. Prices at the Congress can be pretty high at times as well due to all the corporate offices in the area that it is located.

IMHO, a cheaper option other than the current Sheraton for an FRA Airport SPG would be most welcome.

Looking forward to my stay there on the opening day. Hope everything goes smooth as in contrast to the late start for bookings on their faulty website...

yeah now only day rates for 85 euro available.
I will "try" it one time but at these rates i'd rather stay at one of the sheratons
