100% leisure. Usually have enough stays to make gold. The change to credit other rooms booked in my name helped bump my stays up so doing Bankok with 6 different hotels in 8 days to get Platinum. Pity I didnt know earlier about the challenge as could have made Platinum in September.

95% business/5% personal travel. Generally same mix for any loyalty program I participate in. I use points to pay for rooms on my personal trips but sometimes buy the room I want.

Do stays on points count towards platinum status, and if so does anyone think there is enough value added from gold to platinum to book low level (3000 pt/night) rooms to achieve platinum?

100% leisure. 29 stays/90 nights so far and think I might as well shoot for 100 to experience Ambassador service.

80/20? I feel that's how to distinguish how i feel about different chains, my marriott and hilton stays are strictly business, I only spend money on leisure travel at spg properties. most of the time is when the cash/point ratio makes sense, other times i need to pay cash on a tax-deductible charity related trip.
