635 nights and 13 years Elite...doesn't count my Marriott and Hilton stays...but yes Africa is on the bucket list...and I am retired now

Glad everyone enjoyed...and yes the dots on the map are accurate and a really nice touch!!

PS there are some numbers and codes in really fine print, can barely see them, on the package wrapped aka "National Treasure"

CRE XXXXX (5 numbers instead of x's)
LTP (lifetime points or lifetime platinum?)
BB ??
ENG (English?)

Then a 4 digit number beside your name..unrelated to your SPG number. Mine is 02xx (two hundred something)...2XX is Lifetime Tier Status meaning only two hundred people WW ahead of me??...maybe LOL

Let the mystery begin..

Wow - this is really great and really professional!

The LT Gold cards look just as regular cards but with an added field mentioning LTG:

Thanks for posting. Supposedly mine is waiting for me at home, which is 3 more weeks of travel away. I can't wait to see my map!

I'm so envious.
SPG are doing the right thing here. So many FTers are going to be working at getting one of these cards now.

Got my Lifetime Plat card today. The map and dots are pretty cool and a nice touch. Came by FedEx no less.

Question: will this set off the metal detector at airports if I have it in my wallet? If it does, no biggie because I'll just have to say to the TSA person, "whoops, it-must-be-my LIFETIME Platinum Starwood card. You wanna see it?"

Not that much of a mystery, really.

The “codes” are nothing all that secret. It’s the production print codes so we can ensure the right piece of paper goes with the right member. CRE is short for “credentials” and the numbers are just the print job number. LTP is “Lifetime Plat’ and BB is short for “brochure” with the last one being the language the member is opted in for.

Mine arrived today.

Big surprise to see that metal card, it went "clank" on the counter when I dropped it accidentally, made me laugh! I'll be curious to see if it elicits any reaction from the desk at Le Meridien Etoile in Paris when I check in two weeks from today. (I'm not holding my breath waiting for them to be impressed, given their past lack of effort to take care of SPG Plats like me)

As much as I thought the metal card was cool, I was delighted by the map depicting all the Starwood hotels I've stayed at since 1999. That was unexpected, and fun.
