It can take up to 7 business days from the day you qualified for your Lifetime Platinum status to be picked up by the system.

Starwood / Marriott merger
Q : What will happen to my Lifetime Status when the programs merge together in the future?
A : Rest assured we will always recognize your Lifetime Status, whether it is today in your earned program or in the future with a new, combined program.

How long after achieving the status did it actually change in your spg.com profile? I have met Lifetime Platinum requirements now for a month, and no change.

Received a welcome package with the metal card after I learned here how to order it- but that was a year ago, so maybe the map is still on its way ;-)

I seem to recall my map was in the same packaging as the metal card.

Did Starwood confirm your reaching status? The nights on the website are not necessarily eligible nights.

I think it changed on my spg.com profile immediately after the 500th night posted.

Cheers,

I was told one has to wait for the next sweep. I have no idea how often they do the sweeps, but in my case my qualifying stay posted on a Saturday and my status changed the following Thursday.

just received liftetime platinum card packet with plastic card

I qualified for LTP a year or so ago and have the metal card, but today received a mailing from SPG that said it contained my lifetime platinum card inside. I opened the package, found a plastic card that nowhere says lifetime platinum.

This happen to anyone else? Very confused by this mailing. All the material inside covered regular SPG benefits and nothing but the envelope referred to LTP.

Hi eightmillionmiler,

FWIW, it took a week or two between when I qualified and when the website showed me as a Lifetime Platinum. Still waiting for my card and packet though...
