I believe you spent more time w that snappy passive aggressive reply than you spent trying to find the answer to your question.

Work a little before asking for a handout.

So what you're saying is that they will be carried over?

They're not being carried over this year.

As of right now, they will be carried over to the SPG eTrashCan on 12/31, since you can't use them for the night of 12/31.

Late to the party here, but I am losing 7 SNA's. Had a five-night stay at the W Montreal that didn't clear and a two-night stay at Le Meridien in Tampa that didn't clear. Definitely not losing any sleep over requalifying for Platinum with less than 50 nights. I must say that I am enjoying my Hyatt Diamond upgrade certificates, as I am 3 for 3 this year and just used my last one for a stay in January!

So sad to see 7 of my SNA disappear today. Couldn't use them at all this year

If one had been applied prior to 2pm local time on the 30th, it could have been.

I'll lose two this year. I had applied those two to a stay the weekend of 12/19, but they didn't clear and got returned (though I did get a suite upgrade at checkin, so still a win). Had one applied for tomorrow night (12/31), but it didn't clear and got returned today (the hotel has been sold out for weeks, so I'm not surprised it didn't clear). But who knows what will happen at checkin...

According to posts from the Lurkers the SNAs need to be "USED" before they expire and specifically they expire on 12/31 (today) and could not be used tonight. Just one of several holes in the program.

Our security badges worked the same way. They "expired" at 12:01am of their last day, so it was not possible to get in to sign out on your last day. Had to call security to escorted to work area. Silly rules.

I don't ever recall such a post. SNAs are consumed at checkin, so any checkin today would be allowed. I've used SNAs on NYE every year of the program.

Just so we can put this to bed, I posted this in November:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/23832714-post2673.html

I also just checked with our SNA Champion and she confirms that this was a prior technical issue that has since been fixed. So, if anyone is experiencing this problem today, there is another issue at hand that needs to be looked into. Depending upon how much lead time we are given, it may or may not be able to be successfully overcome. Obviously, any problems that may have occurred this year are too late to address, but keep this in mind for the future.

I did notice that Christina had posted differently in early December, but we are now all on the same page regarding this. My apologies for the disconnect.

I feel like we should just spread misinformation, like what happens so often in our daily life, and if we just repeat it enough, it will become fact. Like we should just repeat over and over again that SNA's from 2014 don't expire. And once that becomes fact, we will then say that Starwood has decided to compete with Hyatt and offer confirmed suite night upgrades.

It's worth a try, better than just sitting on all my SNA's and watching them expire. Maybe I will apply the SNA's for my stay at the Aloft Nashville/Cool Springs. Oh wait, they don't even have suites.....

Or maybe I will apply them at the Aloft Tulsa, oh wait, they don't have suites either. How about the Aloft Millbrae, oh wait, nevermind, they don't have suites either....

Or wait, maybe I will apply them at the Westin Snowmass, oh wait, its based on availability and its basically a pipe dream to think of an upgrade during any desirable time at this hotel.....
