Another SNA request rejected :/. I have 0% success rate on SNAs applied to award bookings (long, short - doesn't matter). On the other hands - 100% success rate for paid stays.

I also had SNAs fail for a five night award stay but got a free Plat upgrade at check in to a suite that was about the best I would have gotten with the SNAs.
My conclusion: YMMV

Did you contact the Lurker's to check the status of your request? Granted that should not be required, but seems some properties have issues.

Anyway, in this case (Le Meridien Barcelona), the property is basically sold out, so there's not much that could have been done.
I'd just like my SNAs to clear before they expire.

From my understanding - and confirmed by the Lurker in the post above - there's not much they can do.

Remembering way back when a manager asked if the computer can send out an alert when it dies... Ummmm

Tally for the year:
. 1 night - rejected but upgraded to the same suite 2 days out
. 1 night - rejected but upgraded to the same suite 1 day out
. 5 nights - approved on first day of system checking
. 2 nights - approved on first day of system checking
. 1 night - rejected but upgraded to the same suite upon check-in
So 7 out of 10 (last year's 10 SNAs) by June. Not too bad I'm thinking.

Is the 5 day Suite Upgrade Window Local Time?
Just wondering when the processing of suite upgrades starts to happen is it based on the local time of the hotel? Hoping for a few of these to process for a trip to China next week.

Question for the Lurker, and I apologize if this has already been asked. Has SPG given any consideration to giving extra SNAs or other perks for hitting 125, 150, 175 nights in a year? It is sad to say but I am going to hit the 100 night mark by the end of Aug and would love some perks to keep me staying SPG for the rest of the year (aside from the current 100 stay Platinum offerings).

SNA "pending" yet rooms are available??
I've followed the SPG forum for years but this is my first post!
I'm a loyal SPG member - I always stay at SPG properties when I travel for business and pleasure. As a result, I have been a platinum members for a few years now.
I booked five night at the Sheraton Fallsview Niagara Falls, ON and I applied five of my Suite Night Award credits to the stay, in order to get a corner, Fallsview suite. I've stayed in one before and they are really nice. My stay in coming up in four days, and yesterday I received a note from SPG saying that my SNA request was "pending" - if a room became available, I would get it. Well, I called the Platinum concierge desk a few days ago to see what my chances would be and I was told that there were lots of those rooms still available. I called again yesterday and was told the same thing - still quite a few of the corner suites available, not to mention a couple of other suites as well. When I asked why my SNA request was still showing "pending" instead of "confirmed", I was told that each property was different and my apply the SNA on different time schedules. I'll admit that I booked my stay using points, but that should not have any bearing on whether my SNA request should be honoured. I know the property has until the day before to confirm, but if rooms are available, should they not have to offer it to me without waiting (perhaps for someone to book it using cash?)
Has this happened to anyone else, particularly at the Sheraton Fallsview Niagara Falls, Ontario?
Thanks!

Welcome to FT, Sierraraven34!
There are two strong possibilities.
There are two strong possibilities.
- The suites you see online are not in the upgrade pool, or
- They don't have all five nights available in the same suite.

If you've read http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/starw...ndar-year.html you would know that what is showing online DOES NOT represent what is available for SNA upgrades, and the CSRs do not have visibility to SNA inventory. Yes, they use the same name but there is a separate inventory maintained that is used for determining SNA upgrades.
Now, also, it is stated many times in that same thread that some properties have had glitches in SNA clearing. The Lurkers have offered to check things out if you will send them a PM or eMail with your rez info.
