New Four Points by Sheraton Edmundston NB - Opening July, 2013
After a quick search I didn't see this ...or sure where to post it....but I just noticed great news for SPG travellers through New Brunswick. Opening July 2013 is a new FP's Edmundston. "The former Clarion hotel will undergo an extensive $2.5 million renovation prior to flying the Four Points flag"
Fills a big Starwood gap between Quebec City and the next Starwood properties in Halifax and the only Starwood place in New Brunswick.....nice if they added one in Moncton next.

Great News! Starwood is now in New Brunswick, there used to be a Sheraton in Fredericton, but that's long gone. Surprisingly, this property is not in Moncton, Saint John or Fredericton. Maybe we will see more Starwood properties in the future.

NB Starwood properties
Yes it would be good if there were starwood properties in NB's major cities. The hotels from other chains in Saint John are in bad need of upgrades.The Delta in Moncton and Fredericton are not bad but id love to see some starwood hotels there.

If you just look @ a map, you will see that Edmundston gets more inter-city traffic than either F'ton or Saint John.

No surprise. For Quebec & ON residents, Edmundston is a "black hole" between Quebec City and F'ton. The hotels are terrible, expensive, and many travelers have horror stories from stopovers!

PS...I'd ask for a FP's in Charlottetown PEI but that will never happen. Although the Holman Grand was just sold off cheap so maybe someone wants a Starwood flag ? Dreaming of course so the Delta remains the best game there for a decent property

I certainly remember that chocolate brown Sheraton in Fredericton.
