Another Flyertalk Music Offer: General Admission Tickets to Live Nation Concerts
Given the strong interest in music we saw with the recent launch of the ticket bank redemption program, we wanted to provide you – our Flyertalk friends - with another music opportunity. Feel free to pass it along to any other SPG friends you may have as well!
For every eligible stay completed between July 15th - August 31st, you'll earn one online general admission code (up to 4 total) that can be redeemed through October 2009 for 100's of Live Nation shows at amphitheatres around the country like Verizon Wireless in California, PNC Banks Arts Center in New Jersey, and Charter One Pavilion in Illinois.
Here's how it'll work:
• You must be registered so click here to sign up: https://www.spgpromos.com/flyertalkconcerts/index.cfm
• Codes will be emailed to you within 5 days of each eligible stay being credited to your account between July 15th and Aug 31st, so be sure to have an email address on file and be opted in to receive SPG offers and promotions!
• Up to 4 codes can be earned
• To check out available shows and redeem earned codes click here: http://promo.livenation.com/starwood/
Stay often, earn codes, and bring your friends and family to let the music begin! Just a few of the shows that can be redeemed for are: The Fray, Brad Paisley, Blink 182, The Killers, John Legend and more.

Thanks! It just didn't seem right that Hilton was offering this type of promo when Starwood is Live Nation's official hotel partner.
Starwood Lurker, these questions would almost certainly come up, so I'll go ahead and ask now:
Is it necessary to register prior to the stay? Or will it be retroactive to stays checked in prior to registering?
A stay normally is deemed to occur on the check-in date. If someone checked in before the promo start date (July 14 or earlier) but checked out on or after July 15, will it count toward the promo?
The T&Cs say, "Only those Starwood Preferred Guest® ("SPG®") members invited to participate in this offer can register online at SPG.com/summerconcerts by August 31, 2009, Midnight EDT."
I guess that this is true if your announcement is the invitation is to everyone. Now, is that deadline midnight on the night spanning between Aug 30 and 31, or the night spanning Aug 31 - Sep 1?
Southern locations are included! If the opportunity arises, it would be nice to see Charlotte's two new Live Nation facilities on the list:
Uptown Amphitheatre at the Music Factory
The Fillmore Charlotte
Is this promotion only available to Flyertalk members? If not, is there any particular reason why the web link seems to take one to a Flyertalk-specific registration site?

Take a look at the first paragraph in post #1. If there are any questions after that, let me know.

Wait a second. This has been posted for 3 hours and NOBODY has complained about some insane detail yet????
William, please pass along my thanks to the marketing people. The last few months have once again proven why I stay with Starwood.
Having already accrued 60 nights this year, I could move my business elsewhere for the rest of the year to attain status elsewhere. But why, when SPG just keeps coming out with different promos to make me an even more satisfied customer?

This offer will be retroactive to any eligible stays during the offer period, regardless of when you enroll during that time frame. After all, isn't today July 17th?

Yes, as long as the stay includes the night of July 15th. Any stays that begin prior to and are not inclusive of that date won't. So, check-out would have to occur after July 15th, not the day of July 15th. To parse it down even more, checking in on July 14th and checking out on July 15th will not yield an eligible stay for this offer, but checking in on July 14th and checking out on July 16th would.

Anyone that finds this registration url will be able to register their SPG account to participate, but this particular offer has been extended to Flyertalkers and to their friends and associates with whom they want to share it, first. Registration ends on midnight US EDT on August 31st, so it would be that span of August 31 - September 1. But, by the time September 1 rolls around, fa'getaboutit.

So if I'm already registered for the 2 stays 1 free weekend night promotion and I register for this promotion will it de-register me from the other promotion (since they both overlap).

Question: Will this offer be combinable w/ Q3 promotion?
Hi all,
I believe both are combinable. But I shall let William correct me if I am wrong.
