Wed, July 8: Pre-Access to a 2nd Release of SPG's Summer Concert Ticket Redemptions
Thank you for your interest in redeeming Starpoints for tickets to some
of the best concerts this summer. Congratulations to those of you who
already scored tickets, and here's another opportunity for those who
didn't. Due to the very limited ticket quantities, this summer
redemption opportunity has been reserved for SPG Platinum members,
cardholders of the SPG American Express card and Starwood Vacation
Owners. If you're still interested in getting concert tickets, and fall
within one of those three groups, we're offering you the following:
* Exclusive pre-sale access for Flyertalkers to the second round
of tickets that will be available on the same site (SPG.com/hotshows)
this coming Wednesday, July 8, at 11am Eastern time: Yes, that's 11 AM
in the Eastern Time Zone, 10:00 AM for those of you in the
Central Time Zone, 9:00 AM for those in the Mountain Time Zone and
8:00 AM for you in the Pacific Time Zone. Please note the difference
in time if your locale does not participate in Daylight Savings Time and
plan accordingly. We promise no technical glitches this time.
* This advance notice for the next round of tickets is going out
only here on Flyer Talk. That will give those of you who didn't get
tickets in the last round some extra time to sign on and snag the
tickets you want before we inform additional Platinum's, Starwood Vacation
Owners, and American Express/SPG cardmembers outside of this community
that the site is open.
* The tickets available for this second round will feature some of the
same great bands available in the first round, but for a different set
of shows in a variety of major cities and venues. Specific bands
available will include: Dave Matthews Band, Depeche Mode, Jonas Brothers, Keith Urban, Nickelback and U2.
If you were lucky enough to already get tickets, go you But, be aware
the limit is still one pair per member.

Thanks, this is great. I am glad SPG listens to member opinions and improves its promotions and programs when possible. Clarification of the time and who is eligible for this promotion is also appreciated

Great to see this offer! Will brand new SPG Amex cardholders who sign up within the next few days be eligible? If so, what is (or was) the deadline for someone to sign up for the card in order to be eligible?
I assume that only primary SPG Amex cardholders (who's SPG accounts receive the Starpoints) are eligible -- not secondary SPG Amex cardholders who might also have SPG accounts but don't actually receive the points earned from the card. Correct?

If you weren't a Platinum member, a Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express cardmember or an SVO Owner when the participation table was pulled, then you won't be able to successfully log into the site when the web site goes live next Wednesday. That is the only sure-fire way to participate...to be noted on the participation table when it was initially pulled.
Anything else is really going to be YMMV because adding additional names to the participation table now is going to be touch and go at best. At the very least, someone would have to send Thyetus their SPG account number so SPG can vet whether or not they fall within the targeted groups noted above. (Note: I will be out of the office after tomorrow until Wednesday, so don't send it to me expecting me to pass it along to SPG.) Then, if there is enough time to update the participation table, SPG will try to do so with no promises toward it being an absolute in, but they will make the attempt regardless.
Since multiple entities are working together on this, I would say that the latest that someone could even think about sending Thyetus their information is Monday, July 6th at 5 PM EDT. After that, I can pretty much guarantee that getting anyone added will be impossible.

You assume correctly...only primary cardmembers on an account will be able to log in.

Guava, I read Lurker's post to say that if someone got a pair of tickets during the first round, they do not get to try for another pair in this round.

According to the T&Cs, "Physical tickets will be delivered a minimum of five (5) days prior to the event to the address entered upon reserving tickets. "
