The row and seat number were listed, and you clicked on that set to select the ticket. I.e., I got section 142, row 9 for U2 at soldiers field. The seating chart on the SPG site was the generic Soldier's field chart though - the one on the Live Nation web site had all the specifics, including stage location.
I think after you clicked on a set of tickets, you had a few minutes to complete the transaction before they were returned to inventory - enough time to doublecheck the seats, but if you back out, remember that most of the other tickets will be gone.
Also, have your SPG member number ready in the paste buffer before the site opens up. It is required to enter. I did not have mine memorized and the time it took me to access SPG.com and look it up resulted in many of the tickets being gone in the 1 minute I took to log in. The further 1 minute it took me to review the available shows resulted in more seats being snapped up.
On the bright side, I think the tickets I ended up with were not snapped up earlier because from the SPG seating chart they looked sort of bad. According to the Live Nation seating chart, they are almost on stage!

I would log in now and refresh - this option wasn't available last time - it was a count down timer that didn't indicate what info you would need to enter.
Thanks for the heads-up William,
I snagged U2 on Saturday night.
I think I'll go to the Cubs on Sunday and make a Windy City weekend out of it.

Thank you! Cowboy Stadium, Where is it?
Thank you! I scored 2 at Cowboy Stadium. Looking at the seat map, though, it appears all of the field is GA, but I was assigned a row and seat number in the "Field 2" area. Anyone have an idea of where that is?
