v1.0 of SPG Mobile App on iTunes as of 6/6/09 (iPhone app)
One of my favorite Starwood'ers gave me a tip: v1.0 of the SPG Mobile App is available on iTunes!

I know the SPG team is anxious to hear everyone's feedback and will be watching this thread for everyone's comments.

It says you can check your SPG balance, upcoming stays, and even map from your current location to the hotel! It also says you can search and book from the app, with links to global customer support. Sounds cool.

It's free so anyone with a iPhone or Touch should get it and check it out.

I really like this application.

It does not try to get fancy... it does the basics very well.

I was impressed.... I had to change a reservation 10 minutes ago... and it already shows up... so definitely working real time.

I hope all travel programs follow this lead.

Didn't find the mobile site useful at all.

This iPhone application, however, appears to be quite nice after a quick look. Just something that I would need. (Now I can check my account balance even more often! )

Great app. I've found a couple of issues though:

1) My next couple of stays - one is showing on Previous stays (even though it is early July), the other in the correct place
2) The Browse Hotel Directory doesn't seem to appear

Otherwise, a worthwhile addition to the iPhone.

I don't like how 'My Stays' are listed in reverse order -- those furthest out on top of the list and the most recent at the bottom. This should be reversed so that the first reservation you see on the list is your next booked stay. I don't see any way for the user to change this.

I agree: it's clean and simple. The filters at the bottom of the My Stays and My Recent Activity screens are nice -- and speedy too.

Yes, this might happen if one's telephone number is outside North America. There is a bug currently parsing the dates incorrectly under these circumstances. A fix for this will be done in a few weeks.
