Lightbulb PROMO: Westin Bonaventure giving away free nights: book Tues AM thru April 14

I am simply amazed that so few people are participating in the free night giveaway for the Westin Bonaventure. On Tuesdays between 9am and noon, Pacific time there are 5 rooms available for free through Twitter and 45 rooms available online throught this link http://www.thebonaventure.com/give_away/index.cfm.

Twitter was a sure thing if you were there at 9am and I was still seeing free rooms online just three minutes ago before starting to write this post.

Is the economy so bad that people do not even want to stay in hotels for free?

I moved this out from the master thread so that it would get better visibility. I know that I, myself, had been oblivious to the offer. Thank you, satori.

I'd rather see the $0.01 stick for stay credit...

Thanks SanDiego1K for making this its own thread.

I was too busy telling others about the availability of the deal this morning and I just quickly added to the Westin Bonaventure master hotel thread.

Here was my blog post last week about this Bonaventure promotion.

I wondered if people would notice the post "Twitter and the Westin Bonaventure" on my blog since I left "free room" out of the title. After the LHW fiasco last October I was amazed to see how easy it was to get a free room during this second Tuesday of the promotion.

The online availability (45 rooms for March 27-28) was easier than Twitter this week (5 rooms).

For those who don't track satori's blog, it's must reading for those of us who like to analyze hotel loyalty programs. And I thought I was reading it faithfully, but somehow missed this promo. Thanks for bring the info over to the Starwood forum.

Didn't score the free room, but did book 3 nights 1st week of April for $125 INCLUDING PARKING. Cancellable, no less.

This hotel is really making an effort. Wish that more SPG properties would be so aggressive!
