2. Is this your first encounter with the promotion? The additional 500 bonus points is an extension of the Night after Night promotion.

Yeah this was a confusing move. Create buzz. Launch promotion. Alter the promotion for a subset of the properties. Publish information about the promotion using different wording and marketing material making it difficult for some people to realize that it is multiple versions of same promo.
That said, I understand it and am happy for the extra points!
Yes, I have already registered for this promotion and yes, this is my first encounter with the 1000 bonus point promotion. Earlier I have already registered for the 500 bonus points promotion.

I know it's been reported by both Lurkers that the extra 500 pts will post separately and later, but I just had both bonuses appear at the same time in my account for a Feb 23rd stay. They show as follows:
Earn +500 02/28/2009 SPG NIGHT AFTER NIGHT 500 PTS
Earn +500 02/28/2009 SPG NAN 500/NT - HTL BNS (85H)
Only thing missing is the online bonus:
CCC ON-HOLD BONUS REFRD TO WEB
which I expect will post on Wednesday evening.

It really would be great if they could include another code in the postings with the unique ID of the property so we could know which are posting from which. I had 4 stays in the past week, another 5 in the next two weeks, and keeping track of what posted becomes a chore. One I'm happier to perform than not, but still a chore.
So what is this activity - SPG NAN 500/NT - HTL BNS (85H)
Stayed at the Westin in Ft Lauderdale. Wasn't the night after night bonus and wasn't the plat amenity. Nothing wrong happened. In fact, they upgraded me to the presidental suite.
Some special I wasn't aware of?
