As long as your mailing address's on the account match you can transfer for free. All they care about is the address. So anyone who lives with you can transfer.

Sorry if this has been asked, but I couldnt find it on SPG site. My wife and I both got the SPG w/ 30K bonus. We both now have just above that and want to book a room in Bos that is 40k. Can I just move point between accts, or is there a fee? Is there a better way? My MR points take 1000 to equal 333 SPG...That sure is an eye opener to me. I got this just for promotion, but the more I read it seems like the SPG is the best deal going for me.

more than one?
OK, so one poster seemed to indicate this was possible but I still wanted to confirm officially-- as long as 3 people (e.g. wife, husband, son) are living under the same roof, it's allowable for 2 of the members to transfer their SPG points to the other in the house?

transfers now 7 days instead of instant?
I asked to transfer points from my account to my spouse's account. We both have the same mailing address. Instead of instantaneous transfer that I was used to whenever I did this, the customer rep told me that this will take 7 DAYS!! Wow. Has anyone else experienced this?
I've been logging out and logging back into my account via the web to see if the rep was confused. Normally, I see the transfer instantaneously, but this time, nothing has changed. I guess I will check back in a week.

Online transfers now possible?
Is it still necessary to call in to do a transfer between accounts sharing the same address? I came across a member to member transfer screen in my SPG account. Just want to make sure that if I do this, I don't have to pay any fees like on the phone? Thanks.

Any experience with the length of time Starwood considers "recent" when they say an address change has recently occurred?
I live with my girlfriend who hadn't kept up her mailing address for SPG for a few months, and about 2 months ago she changed the address so that it matches mine. However, when I requested a transfer so she can help with an upcoming trip, they requested proof that she lives here. Her Starwood Amex billing address is this address as well but that doesn't seem to satisfy one of their requirements:
1) Utility Bill (we have one, electric, in my name)
2) Driver's License (neither of us uses this address, we use more permanent home addresses)
3) Voter Registration (neither of us is registered); or 4)
4) Household Bill (I'm not sure how this is different from a utility bill... but I take care of all the bills)
Would simply waiting a month to do the transfer work? The trip is not for 2 months so we have a bit of time. I'm not sure that changing her address on the driver's license would be any faster, and registering to vote to do this seems silly.
Or has anyone been able to appeal and perhaps use a credit card statement instead?

My wife opened a Starwood account approx 2 months ago now. She has had some points gifted to her (no stays) which I want to transfer into my account. I called up and the customer rep said she wasn't sure whether being a new account with no activity (other than having the purchased points) whether it would be allowed to be transferred. She said she'd find out and get back to me.
Anyone know if I will have any problems?

I don't think it would take 2 months for her to be notified on the rejection though.
