I just booked the 5 night for $798 at Westin Ka'anapali on Maui.
I was curious if anyone else has done this offer and what their experience as a Platinum was like.
From what I can gather - although some have been upgraded, they are not obligated to at all.
I am going in October, which is supposed to be slower, so I doubt it will be full, but I would rather burn points at Sheraton Maui and get an ocean view than get the parking lot view room which is supposed to be the standard room with the Westin offer.
According to the T&Cs, I have 15 days to get a full refund.

Yes as Corp Pref, I think I posted reviews above. You better hope that you get an upgrade because the standard parking lot view rooms assigned to this package are no fun. That being said, you will likely have the option to burn points for a much nicer and larger room in the beach wing.
Personally I would highly recommend the Sheraton which usually provides great rooms to elites.
