Recent Stay

This hotel is a solid Sheraton.

I had a wedding to attend a few blocks away in Hamilton this weekend, so I used cash ($45) and points (2800) to book two adjoining rooms - one for my wife and I, one for our infant and babysitter (kind sister in law). Requesting adjoining rooms is a PITA via central reservations, but when I stopped by the hotel the day before, they took care of it no problem and even arranged for a noon check-in. The front desk staff was fantastic and very professional.

The rooms were great - we were apparently in renovated rooms on the 14th floor (I think there are 16 floors, but I'm not positive). We had a nice view (or as nice as possible in Hamilton) looking out over the water and Copps Coliseum. The beds were fantastic, as expected, and the showers were excellent. The rooms were wonderfully clean, and the crib was brought up within minutes when requested.

The hotel is well located in downtown Hamilton, for what that's worth, since Hamilton isn't exactly the "nicest" city in southwestern Ontario. There were pharmacies and restaurants nearby as well.

I would highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed there during the week while in town a few months ago. This Sheraton has spacious rooms and my room was in good shape. I'm a mere mortal G, will be Plat later this year. I forgot how much of a dump downtown Hamilton is but this property didn't seem too busy and was quite comfortable during my stay! Connected to the underground mall which was nice!

Given the relatively low cost of staying at this property, I would say you get pretty good value for your dollar spent. It's nothing special, but not too shabby if you manage your expectations accordingly.

Cheers,
