Airline Direct Deposit Point Posting

I remember somebody being concerned about the direct deposit into the Airline Program that is required with some of the Fall Promotions. I just had my first promotion post and just to make you feel better my Starwood online statement shows the points posting and then a few days later shows a posting into UA account. As follows:

1999-10-11 UNITED AIRLINES D. D. –771
1999-10-11 SPG ELITE 50% BONUS 257
1999-10-7 WESTIN 514

Now I’ll just have to wait for the points to show up in my UA account to verify that everything is going smoothly.

Well - everything went smoothly - so far all my stays have been posted by Starwood and also now posted into my UA Account.

Good job UA and Starwood - can't wait for those 12,000 bonus miles to appear.

When does the bonus post?

I had an interesting experience where they did not direct deposit my points to the airline (AA in my case). I called them recently and they told me that the hotel points would stay in my SPG account, but the bonus will post to the airline.

From the conversation I had with Starwood, they told me that the bonus points will show up in Jan 2000.
