2013 Q4 Global Promo: SPG Take Two, Double Points + 2,500 per 5 nights, Sep 1 - Dec 1

SPG is pleased to announce the details of our upcoming promotion, SPG Take Two, which can be found at spg.com/taketwo. Open to all members worldwide, SPG Take Two allows registered members to earn bonus Starpoints two ways from September 1 through December 15, 2013:

  • Earn double Starpoints on all eligible stays with no earning limits.
  • Plus, earn an additional 2,500 bonus Starpoints for every 5 eligible nights during the promotion- up to 10,000 bonus Starpoints and 20 nights.

Over 1,000 Starwood hotels and resorts are participating. A list of hotels not participating can be found at spg.com/taketwo. Registration will open later this month, but in the meantime you can book stays now, and those that fall during the promotion earning dates will be eligible.

Best regards,

Previous Promo:
-500 App Bonus per Stay
-Double Points

New Promo:
-500 Bonus per night (after 5 Nights and at every 5Night interval)
-Double points

It is slightly better if you rack up longer stays rather than short stays.

not terrible, i kind of dig it - with the 500 pt per night bonus, its really like a triple point promo (at least for the rates i book).

could do without all the opt outs (seems less the usual though, i may be wrong however). thats really my biggest beef

Definitely looks like a lot more opted out, especially in US.

All the places I normally stay in the Chicago area have opted out this time.

Lots of opt-outs, but otherwise looks like a decent promo. No complaints here.

When entire cities like Boston, Manhattan proper, San Fran are opted out... It's lame. Previous opt out discussions were around the franchises... But now company owned properties are opting out....
