50 percent off BAR
Quite a few good offers are available via the ITB offer:
http://eame.specials.starwoodhotels..../multibrand/en
Rate basis is BAR minus 50 percent. Rates are, as far as I see, fully flexible.

Thank you both
Thank you both, much appreciated!
Just booked a couple of stays, it's not fully flexible but cancellation is possible until 7 days before the arrival date. Might be different in each hotel, so be careful if you need a fully flex rate.

Thanks for posting. Unfortunately some hotels on the list do not offer this rate.
Westin Grand Mnchen is on the list but do not offer this rate or I was to late...
And it seems you can't use a SNA...

Thanks! This just almost halved the price of my vacation (rate went from €336 per night to €190)! Would be nice to get a confirmation around the eligibility though
Edit: Price went up €50 after changning to 2 adults. Silly

Man, now I'm pissed!
Normally, I book corp rates which offer full flexibility (but I don't really need the flexibility, but our negotiated rates are often cheaper than the pre-paid rates)...
Then, a couple days ago, I found out about Beatthetimer.com so I cancelled all my flexible rooms, and booked them through BTT. As an example, doing this, I got the following rates down:
W Barcelona: €300 down to €219 (for 2 different stays)
Le Meridien Hamburg: €160 down to €114
Now I've just found out about this new link. ...! For the same dates, I can re-add a level of flexibility and drop the rates even more:
W Barcelona is €148 for both those dates
Le Meridien Hamburg is €87!!!!!!!!!
This is just incredible, but i'm very annoyed I fully pre-paid these rates yesterday. I've just put in a call to my Ambassador to see what she can do about this. But I have to admit, not overly impressed about all this running around just to get the best rates from SPG. So much for the BRG - it's meaningless, and the lack of transparency is highly frustrating...!
Annoyed, very annoyed,
JK

Anyone know if some kind of ID or proof of ITB-eligibility is required? Do we need to prove we're a part of the travel industry or something?

EDIT: Little bit less annoyed now. I guess it's fair enough for different trade groups to have better negotiated rates than those publicly available for individuals. I think I just exploded from the amount of time I've spent over the last couple days playing around with these bookings, and finding new ways I never knew existed.
I shall look at the bright side, that at least I now know 2 cheaper ways of finding rooms than just using spg.com
Oh, a huge THANK YOU to the two OPs!

34.50 at Sheraton Heathrow was too good to resist.
