Congrats your Platinum! Oh wait your not...
So I recently hit platinum for next year, my account said 23 stays and 50 nights , 308 nights since 2008.
I saw some incorrect charges on a stay that was rectified but after I spoke with the agent the stay went away from my account and it turned out 22 stays and 49 nights.
After speaking with the rep it seems a stay we incorrectly credited to my account. Now I'm not a plat for next year that has 20 suite night awards.
How can I be gold with 20 suite night awards is beyond me....
I've logged in my account yesterday and I recieved the message Congrats you are platinum, I feel unjust by giving something then taking it away.

If the stay/night that was taken away was an error then you aren't entitled to Platinum nor the additional 10 SNAs that are in your account. It appears they forgot to take the 10 SNA back.
I don't know why you feel unjust, it was an error and you were never entitled to what you were given. You have over a week to have a cheap stay at an SPG property to get it all back (assuming them removing the stay/night was justified).

+1. So did you actually EARN the stay and they took it away? If that happened that's different than you NOT staying and it wasn't rectified. I had 98 nights and still haven't received the 10 suite nights for next year (nor have I been able to use one of the suite upgrade nights this year). So not quite sure what you think is "unjust. . ." here. Are we not understanding something?

Well when you say it that way I can agree with you, If this happened in January I would say yes it would be a problem but since I'm still in the year then yeah I do have time to fix it.
It turns out that stay is my wife's and they credited by mistake to my account, had I did not bring anything up it would've been ok but I think something triggered what I did, anyways have one more stay to do till the end of the year which turns out I will be doing to visit some friends.

When you contact SPG Program Services to fix a stay, they tend to have a look at your other past stays as well and catch mistakes with credits that may have happened. So, be warned.

I'm assuming you mentioned that you were not present for that stay?

Although I do not value my loyalty programs at the same level as my checking account, I do track my activity as closely (spreadsheet and reconcile to web account). That way I know when a mistake is made or something is missing. If I knew they posted something that wasn't earned, I'd expect it to go away at some point and plan for that.
Choice was bad about sending out unearned status notices and I was successful in arguing that notice caused a change in my stays and they extended my status.

All's well ends well.
Good idea -- just do one more night and issue is over.

Correct, I requal'd in October on stays, in November on nights and my next 10 hit my account immediately.
If the status is important, you have to be able to do a MR. I quickly looked at checkin 12/26 out 12/27 and properties in Pleasanton are $79 and SFO for $80.

Thanks for the tip, although I'm in a place now where Pleasanton is as far as the moon .
