What is Passbook?
With the release of iOS 6 for iPhone® and iPod touch®, SPG® is now integrated with Apple Passbook®. This means you can now access your SPG Member Card in Passbook which includes your up-to-date account information. You need to download your SPG member card to Passbook using this link spg.com/passbook on your device. The full integration with the app will be in our next release of the iPhone app.

What is there to be excited about?
How is this an advantage over the current SPG iPhone App?
On the App I can already see my balance, account number, status level, account details, future reservation details, view my SPG card -- and other stuff.
not working on my iPhone. Phone is up to date with 6.01 and page loads, but link to download pass does not appear.

The download works fine if you open a separate Safari page to the facebook page.

Got it! But, I guess my question is, what value do I really get from having a copy of my SPG card in the passbook. I kinda like having a boarding pass, and Starbuck's card, but what does one do by having a SPG member card available in the passbook? What do we think SPGs plans are with this new integration.
It's kind of useless, no? I believe that Passbook is for boarding passes to show when you need them, then you "shredder" them. When you actually fly, it's more annoying than useful to have to "scroll" between your boarding pass and this permanently present member card? I could see how it could be useful for reservation confirmations, though.
