Definitely want to have a stay there just to see the infrastructure and layout of the hotel.

Stayed there already. It's really in the middle of nowhere. The property is magnificent. Just amazing to see it rising out of the lake. The light show is world-class and it stops at 9:30PM sharp. :P
Have photos and videos but haven't figured out how to link to FT yet.
Oh, and I was upgraded to a studio suite on a Starpoints stay which is not even bookable on SPG.com yet. That tub is HUGE, biggest I've had in a hotel by far.

Bridge over Huzhou River Tributary connecting Lakeside Village
The Pool (not ready yet)
Live Seafood in Yue Chinese restaurant (on the way to the toilets)
All those photos have been taken with an iPhone 5. Seems the camera didn't fare too well in pitch darkness (no light pollution there)
I have higher-res pictures taken with an RX100 but haven't bothered sorting through them all. Unlikely those'll be done anytime soon, either.
Hope you all enjoyed - and the light show is AMAZING. Have to see it for yourself to appreciate it. The video is also on the RX100 somewhere...

Sheraton Huzhou Hot Spring Resort, Zhejiang, China (Now Open)
No, the facilities were not yet ready when I went some months back. Maybe they are now but I can't say I'll be back in the area so soon
Hot Springs also were not ready.
Food choices were very good, we were the only ones at their Chinese restaurant which closed one hour later than their dinner buffet which we perused in the last five minutes (too busy watching the light show outside). They kept the restaurant open for us til we finished, very generous portions.
Service was five-star and most staff spoke basic English, some better than others, of course. It's a six-star property in the middle of nowhere, no kidding... Glass pianos and all...

I have a one day gap in my trip between Hangzhou and Shanghai.. Is it worth staying at this hotel for one night? The view looks astonishing, but seems like the rest of the areas are not ready yet..

If you are already going to be in Hangzhou anyway, it's not too far away to hire a taxi.
It's a location I'd only go to visit just to take a look at the hotel, there isn't altogether a whole lot to do there. There is the Huzhou Feiying Pagoda which is very high up on a hill, possibly a mini-mountain, which you will pass by... it's also rather famous. (oh and of course, the hot springs, which other resorts in that area already have - you'd have to contact the hotel ahead of time to find out if they are operational yet, as my photos are taken in early March)
