25% off points redemption award expiring 7/31 - Transferable?

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere - I could not find anything via a search.

I have a 25% off points redemption award (this one) that I never managed to use. It expires on 7/31 and I don't think I'll be able to use it.

Does anyone know if it's transferable/tradeable? I hate to see it go to waste.

You can't transfer it.

I don't know about this but can you redeem for a future stay after 7/31?

Nope - the validity is for stays completed by the 31st July, not redemptions made by that date. Shame as I have one that I can't use until next month, but those are the rules.

I had one offered to me through the rewarding returns promo.
I have not stayed at an SPG prop in almost a year and was offered choice of:

-25% off reward stay
-4000 SPG points
-$50 Itunes card

I need to log one stay by the end of August.
I took the 4000 point option. No SPG stays planned, but if it comes down to it I will find a cheap price match hotel for $80 on a weekend and score 2000+4000+WN credit.
