This is my first time participating in a SPG free night promotion. I earned 1 free night after the worst hotel stay in recent memory. But for some reason all standard rooms as the Westin Aruba are gone. Well except for the one that was bookable via Expedia. (it is gone now according the they site)
Why is the only valid room type for this promotion off limits to SPG reward members. If this was a paid stay would this situation qualify as a lowest rate guarantee claim?

Big fan of S Wood still. I redeemed 120,000 points last night for round trip tickets for my wife and I to Vegas in October and for my wife, myself and 2 kids to Orlando in January. A fantastic value. ^

17 free nights ...
This was the best promotion for me personally since being with SPG in 2003 ... I racked up 19 nights ... I've used a combination of free nights and cash+points stays for my 30 day asia vacation .... right now I'm on the 3rd of 5 nights here in the Full Moon resort in the Maldives ...

Is anyone else having issues trying to access individual Starwood resort websites? Looks like a number of them are missing from SPG.com (example: everything on the Greek isles).

my client is in St Louis ... and I happened to be staying at the Sheraton Westport Chalet and Sheraton Westport Plaza
The system treats the Chalet as a different hotel from the Plaza ... if you're ever looking to hotel hop ... I cannot find another pairing of hotels closer together .. i walked from each hotel every night for 2.5 months

Personally, I'm happy this promo has finally ended. I've been rotating between the westin, meridien and sheratons in Frankfurt since early may. Changing venue every night (sunday night to thursday night).....remembering to check in on foursquare....tracking the points posting and chasing down lost foursquare points......endless reservations....forgetting rooms numbers....used room keys all over my house......I was so happy when July came and only had one month left to go.........

For the Westport properties, I was the Mayor of everything around the hotels .... and I made the 4SQ checkin part of my regular check in procedure ... so I never missed any points
A month away and i'm still the mayor ...Westport Chalet and Westport Plaza

I just redeemed two certificates (two nights at Westin Diplomat in a few weeks), but in each booking confirmation there is a 90 dollar charge? Surely any resort fee cant be that high per night 
?
