St. Regis Bangkok Opening slips to 1 Apr 2011

Anyone have any recent updates on the St. Regis Bangkok? The website still says October 1, 2010 for an opening. Is this still correct? Last time I walked by, they were making progress, but it was hard to tell if October 1, 2010 is realistic.....

I have to assume it's been delayed, as the construction site wasvright next to the protest area and everything was pretty much shut down there for the better part of two months. If someone has recently been In Bangkok it would be interesting to hear.

If you like, I can forward this thread to my colleague working for this pre-opening property.

However, there might not be any immediate updates that I can provide right now.

Thanks, Thyetus, that would be great. I'd also be interested in a progress update on the Aloft on Sukhumvit Soi 11 if it's not too much trouble (although I've been very happy with my last few stays at SGS!!!).

That would be great to hear about the status of the St. Regis, and really, all of the SPG projects in Bangkok.

Agree. Just got an email from the Plaza Athenee with special offers to come back, but was really looking forward to trying out the St Regis for a change.

Could you post in the PA thread with the prices of the offer?

Perhaps someone would be sweet enough to create another thread on the Aloft property.

Do add the St Regis Bangkok Facebook page as your fan page for more updates.

I have an aerial shot of the property(artist impression) that I will upload on my flickr account soon.

Wow! Looks incredible. Thanks Thyetus.

Hopefully the opening date will be moved up a little!
