Stayed here last weekend and could not have asked for better treatment.
Called the front desk when I landed, and as promised they had a shuttle waiting when I exited baggage claim well after 12:30am (note that some airport hotels do not run a 24/7 shuttle) - in fact the driver greeted me by name as he already had a few passengers and was holding it for me.
Check-in was pretty quick despite the throng of 6 or so arriving all at once - another clerk came out immediately to assist (you don't always see that - particularly at this hour). First room assignment was too close to the elevator and key didn't work so I returned to front desk and got another room farther down the hall. The furnishings were much nicer than some of the older airport Westins (LAX, SFO) and most important the room was very quiet despite being close to the airport. Great staff - all of them could not be more pleasant and helpful.
A bit pricey @ $160/night prepaid - though I think hotels were generally full this week thanks to the US Open nonsense.
Highly recommend if for some reason you find yourself stuck out here or have an early morning flight.

Stayed for four nights last week - nice property, weird location (near apartment buildings and office complexes). Stayed in 751 which is as far from the elevator as you can get. Workout room is decent, elevators are fast, staff is friendly, *some* tv channels in HD. Walk from the parking elevator to the guest elevator isn't a big deal - it may have taken 25 seconds. Check-in agent offered the usual Gold amenities, and I took the 250 pts since I expensed the HSIA anyway. All in all - no surprises, which is exactly why I like Westins in the first place.

+1.
I also stayed for 4 weekday nights last week and can echo the positive comments above, including friendly staff. I didn't get to use much of the other facilities. They participate in MAGC for $5 or 500 points.
Airport Shuttle Notes: Sign in the lobby states the complimentary shuttle runs between 5am and 11:30pm at x:00 and x:30 from the Hotel and x:15 and x:45 from Curb 2H @ Dulles. I didn't need to request it, it was there both times. Reportedly it is available on-call off hours. At IAD make sure you get on the one for Herndon aka Westin Washington Dullles and not the Reston Westin. (WWD Shuttle license plates seen were Westin-1, Westin-4, The 1 for the Reston I saw had a regular numbered plate.)
Location is an office park as noted. Nearest stores are about a mile out according to the map.
Stayed for two nights after the derecho (June 29th) knocked out my power.
Hotel was excellent, let us check in at 10am the day after the storms. I got two rooms (one for my wife and I, and one for her father - who lives with us). Both rooms were clean and comfortable. No fee for our 4 dogs.
Got points for MGC, and they gave all 3 of us coupons for the full breakfast buffet, in addition to the 500 point platinum amenity. Pool was nice and surprisingly uncrowded given the hotel was 100% full.
Check-out was smooth. Charged for internet, but gladly removed (with an apology) when pointed out.
Nice walking path right across from the front entrance, complete with complimentary "poop bags" for dogs. My new go-to choice before early flights.
To expand upon this, the self parking garage is a slight left turn before the entrance/vestibule to the lobby, once in the garage you can take the elevator to the Lobby and continue check in.
Great pool, restaurant and breakfast provided by this property as mentioned above, hope you enjoy!

Stayed here in OCT for 4 nights and was very happy. Staff is excellent and friendly. I loved it so much I am going back Christmas time, great rates for the DC area when compared to properties in town. Also as a SPG Gold I did recieve the amenity points.
The Westin Washington Dulles Airport, VA [Master Thread]
I've stayed here multiple times (10+) over the last 2+ years. Very good overall. Odd-numbered rooms have a nicer view (overlooking the man-made lake vs parking structure). I like the large walk-in shower, and breakfast buffet is good. Good fitness center, which I've usually had to myself. It does seem like most times I've stayed here, there have been large groups of school kids, but always well-behaved (i.e., quiet) and no issues aside from crowded elevators in the morning. My favorite local hotel is still the Hyatt Reston Town Center, but Westin is usually half the price, so it gets most of my business.
Keyser, it's about 2-3 blocks. And, it's only that long because you've got to get out of the mixed-use development the Westin is in to get over to the Sheraton.
