Fresh news on the front...

From Sept. 7th, the lounge *A has been using at T1 will be taken over by AENA and will be converted into the airport operated lounge for all those airlines that are moving operations to T1 after that date (basically, SkyCream, as they went cheap and didn't take the 4000 m2 AENA was offering them in lounge space).

*A will be opening its new lounge on that date, and rumor has it that there'll be a hair saloon, massage rooms, pool tables, PS3's and even a golf simulator. I?m booked for a BCN - MUC on Sept. 18th., so I'll post some pics of the new lounge after my trip!

Where did you get this info? I would be keen to know a bit more as I am flying out of BCN on the 20th of this month, and would love to be able to use a new Star lounge!

I got the new lounge opening news fresh from the lounge dragon last week, and the news on the features of the new lounge from the signalisation at the lounge door (both lounges will share a common entrance hall - separate acces desks though)

In a note to add from my previous post, I have to say that not only SkyCream went cheap, but Iberia (and 1W) also. The only alliance with a private lounge at T1 will be *A (at least for now) and the other alliances and small companies will be using the airport operated lounges (in their favor, I have to say that the airport operated lounges are definitely an upgrade from the old terminal ones)

I'm flying out from BCN on the 18th, so I'll post some pics of the new spaces!

The lounge is a f**king joke! I guess I was expecting too much from JK. The general lounge that SkyCream and 1W will be using (former *A lounge) is way much better...this one looks exactly like the one in MAD...

There's no sign of the promised massage room, the pool tables or the golf simulator, although the signalization is still there...

Sorry, no pictures...it was just not worth it...

Been there just last friday and the lounge is not as good as the previous one in the Terminal 1, but it's comfy and with nice views. When I was there was half empty so a lot of privacy.

They had more food than the lounge in the older terminal.
