Here is the link to the new program

Is it true that OZ allows one to combine mileage with family members to redeem? Has that changed with the new program?

On the Asiana site, they currently have this for qualification:

Quote:
Achieve 40,000 on-board miles or 50 qualifying flights on Asiana Airlines within a 24-month period from the date of enrollment as an Asiana Club member.
http://us.flyasiana.com/Global/US/en...?fid=CLUB13400

Do they really mean the 40K has to be on Asiana? Or can it be on any *A carrier?

You're misreading it:

Achieve 40,000 on-board miles (in any *A carrier)

or

50 qualifying segments on Asiana Airlines

It's much clearer at this link.

Like in all Star Alliance programs you can fly the miles on any *A carrier. Segments is a different thing, as futaris explained already.

I've seen different wording on other pages. I just think that wording is poor. Especially because below it says this as the old language:

Quote:
Achieve 100,000 on-board miles or 100 qualifying flights on Asiana/Star Alliance.
So they've clearly removed "Star Alliance" from the new wording.
