Thought it may be useful to have a reference for partner airlines for the various Star Alliance frequent flyer programs. I guess the key info of use is whether miles are earned, qualifying miles / status credits earned and ability to use awards.
Since all *A carriers are automatically partners I wont include them here. Some restrictions may apply (eg codeshares/routes) so check the FFP for more definitive status.
Key: Earn - miles for flying Status - counts towards elite status Award - can burn miles on awards For Miles and More only - H counts towards HON status, B earns status bonus for those who are eligible

about M&m .... if you fly air one, your miles counts for status (except lowest fares N,X,V,S).
and if i'm not wrong,
even Air Dolomiti (now belonging to Lufthansa regional) & European Air Express
you should add the limitations, like
Quantas on US only for flights between US and AUS
CSA on M&M only for flights between DE and CZ
...
You are right but exceptions and particular cases are too much to be written in a post.
i suppose the best way to complete this work is preparing a tab (e.g. xls table.... if someone help me, i could provide a webpage to publish table...
a sort of comparative table such as the *A FFGOLD benefits, reported in other thread...
