One way awards with stop over
Looking for award program for star alliance awards which allows for stop over on a way ticket

I doubt you will find any FFP where this allowed. In general stop overs are not allowed for o/w awards.

Generally true, but not impossible. AS does IIRC; just not a *A partner.

Twenty four hours is the stopover threshold. I have seen reports of creative routings where people had 23+ hours between flights to enjoy an intermediate city.

Adding to this, you can always try to do a same day change (on United) to extend the connection.

But you will have to spend a lot more miles. There's no free stopovers.

SQ allow a stopover for 150SGD. Can't remember if that is just on their own metal or *A as well though.
