From first hand experience, I can say OZ only offers beneifts to OZ gold (*S in OZ club). Priority check in, baggage, and 2 lounge passes.

Lounge passes and perhaps even priority check in may be limited to OZ members, however there is for certain a Priority tag on my wife's luggage from just last week. I haven't flown as *S for over 10 years, but I do seem to recall getting priority boarding my first time flying OZ (which I was *S at the time). Their website also lists priority boarding as a privilege for *S now. So *S on Asiana may have limited benefit, but it has more benefit than some other *A airlines.

I've experienced AC, OS, OZ and SN all as a UA*S and I never saw a single benefit. This is one place where Star Alliance lags behind Oneworld and Skyteam. At least with OW and ST you'll get priority check in as a low tier elite.

Could you post a link of the page that shows that. I can't find anything on that.

It only mentions priority boarding, there's nothing either way about priority luggage, However I can clearly see a bright orange priority tag on our luggage from my wife's trip last week.

I think they screwed up on the website with the Priority Boarding title, what that should say is Priority Reservations Wait-list. In fact the explanation is exactly for that, and matches word for word the Priority Reservations Waitlist section on any other *A site that explains *S/*G benefits. If you look further down in fact, there's another title for Express Boarding, which is correctly explained and shows only *G.
With baggage, your wife got lucky. When I was *S, I would once in a while get the orange tag too, SAS comes to mind. Only UA officially gives all *S the orange tag.
Asiana actually has an official tag for their own *S (Asiana Club Gold) but it's a smaller gold tag.
