UA787 vs NH787 or 777 in Y

I am looking at booking LAX-NRT/HND as part of trip and deciding between UA 787 and NH 787 or 777 in Y. Seat guru has 32" pitch in Y, while NH looks to have 31" but a few variants at 32 - 34". Looking purely at regular Y, would like to hear from anyone who has experience on each type. I am 6'5" so legroom matters most.

Thanks

If you're that tall I'd pay the little extra for UA E+ and sit there.

If you're not willing to pay the E+ fee then NH787. NH772/77W are tight in Y on the few planes I have been on. UA regular economy is also horrible. If you're on an NH77W you might get lucky with a bump to their Premium Economy with your *G status, but you can't count on it.

UA 777 for sure. Even standard economy is better on the UA 777 than economy on NH or the UA 787.

Didn't see UA 772 as a choice on the list. And E- on a UA 777 is only wider than 787 but not any noticeable amount more legroom.

My mistake.

The issue with NH 777s is you don't know which plane you'll get. Some models are fairly spacious, others are jammed in.

I wouldn't do the NH 787s at all.

OP is flying LAX-NRT, therefore there is no UA 777.

LAX-NRT/HND on NH will most likely be 77W in 3-4-3.

I was stuck on an NH787 which was jammed in. Horrible experience that I will not repeat. And I am "only" 6'1''

I couldn't imagine being 6'5" and trying to sit in Economy on that plane.
