T2 LHR lounges

Hi - I'll be transiting LHR T2 from United to Ethiopian flights. Being 1K (traveling economy) can I access all the *A lounges, and do any have any quiet rooms for a couple of hour sleep? Thanks!

You can access all the *G lounges in T2. Note LH lounges are in the main terminal whereas your arrival and departure are in the satellite - a considerable walk away.

Some reviews and comparisons of the SQ/LH/UA/AC lounges in the terminal:

Showers

Arriving from a trans-Atlantic flight and hoping have a shower before hopping over to the continent. From what I've read, the UA lounge has showers, as well as the Plaza Premium lounge. LH does not. Does anyone know the shower availability at the other lounges? Basically I'm looking for a recommendation on where to best freshen up after a long flight. Thanks!

You'll be fine at SQ and UA. AC also has showers, but only a handful so you may have to wait.

After arriving in T2B you will have to go to T2A to clear security and go back to T2B for one of the lounges with showers. Assuming you are connecting to a shorthaul flight which is likely to depart from T2A you will have to walk back through the tunnel for your flight. Allow 10 minutes in each direction.

Just visited LHR's 4 lounges. In terms of food SQ just barely beats UC depending on your food preferences. I'd be happy with either. AC is quite a bit behind. UC has a better physical lounge than SQ which is ahead of AC. LH has a very good looking lounge as well, unfortunately I was there when the kitchen was getting modeled so no food to review.

It is possible at LHR to go through connections security with a BP for later in the day, visit a lounge for shower/breakfast, and then "escape" back down to arrivals to enter the UK for a few hours? Won't have arrivals lounge access.

Technically possible but a bureaucratic headache getting yourself 'landed' in the airport system and escorted to immigration. Not worth it

You can pay for the Plaza Premium arrivals lounge

Best Lounge in T2 Heathrow?

Flying AC at 10AM on a Saturday. Whats the best lounge to use before my flight? Specifically good views, breakfast and maybe bar.

I've only been to United and Singapore. United's is much better. (Haven't tried Air Canada)

United's lounge it top notch, pretty much full English breakfast available.

It's a shame that it's so far from the gates used for EU flights, but perfect for you since you're on Air Canada.

I will echo this poster's sentiment by saying how impressed I was when I recently tried out the new United Club at LHR last month. I was on a morning flight to EWR and it had a great hot food buffet including a full English breakfast, bar, nice views of the tarmac, great new seating areas and drinks, and really nice showers. It was definitely the nicest United Club I've been to, though admittedly I haven't been to many recently.

Having recently tried SQ's new LHR T2 Lounge, I can say that UA's was much nicer. In general, I feel that SQ's ground game is weak... I've never been to a Silver Kris Lounge I really loved and was quite disappointed by their effort at LHR.
