Which *A carriers offer decent Economy Premium?

Which *A carriers offer decent Economy Premium?

I like LH Premium Economy, not only they give you extra leg room, but also extra space between the seats so that you don't have to compete with the person sitting next to you for the armrest space (which horrible).

Others?

UA & CA should.not be on that list. UA is not.premium economy nor sold as a different class of service, it's just extra legroom. CA may be sold as a separate class but it's also just extra legroom.

Well, since there is no standard definition for Premium Economy, different airlines offer very different seating in this class.

UA Premium Economy is not as good as LH. TK seems to be nice (will check soon). Not sure about the others.

CA does offer Y+ as a separate class of service.
UA is not a separate class of service but does offer a better hard product.

The overall hard/soft products will differ quite considerably between airlines, and priced accordingly for the markets they operate in.

UA is not premium economy, period. You can not buy a premium economy ticket on UA. Economy Plus is only extra legroom that people may choose to pay extra for access to or UA gives free to their own elites. Being sold as a unique class of service would be a logical bare minimum to be called premium economy I'd think. Generally though it also means a bit of a wider seat, better meal or wine offerings over standard economy, etc. China is the only place I can think of off hand where they actually try to sell more legroom with standard service as premium economy (CA & CZ both, unsure about MU & HU)

What did you do, just copy a list of *A carriers?

Others can chime in as to additional carriers that have been incorrectly listed as offering PE.

There is no such thing as "Premium Economy" on UA.

AC, BR, CA, LH, LO, NH, NZ, SK , SQ, TG and TK offer Premium Economy that has dedicated booking classes, ie real PE cabin.

These 11 carriers have formed the new Premium Economy RTW fares launched today. In the meantime, you can no longer pay a surcharge to upgrade a sector in the Economy RTW fare to Premium Economy.

No, it is a list of *A carriers that have offered premium economy.

I have already clarified UA, it offers a better hard product for an additional price. It is not sold as a premium economy product but I personally would consider it (if only for the extra space) in comparison with other Y+ products. If you choose not to so be it.
Do you also think CA should be removed as all it offers is a better seat?

AV did offer premium economy

TG did offer premium economy:

Otherwise, thanks for your helpful contribution to the thread

That wasn't the question. Four of the fourteen carriers you listed as currently offering PE, do not (UA, AV, TG, and SN).

Actually, my question was not about the semantics and exact definitions, but whether what they offer as EP is significantly better than plain economy. Purely from the customer perspective.

To me LH and TK Economy Premium is much better than plain economy, UA - not so (unless it is an exit row, but this I could always get as a Platinum member anyways...provided it is available).

CA's PE is similar to UA's Y+ though. More legroom but same width as Y.

Not a real PE product unforunately.

Please lets get back to the OP's topic: which *carrier offer a decent PE product?
Would be glad to learn from folks, who have flown different airlines and can provide some insight, as to how those products compare hard & softproduct-wise.
Thanks!
