Do any Star Alliance programs have a lifetime status?

For example, British Airways has lifetime gold at 35,000 Tier Points over at OneWorld. Anything similar on Star Alliance?

UA does, various status levels at 1million, 2million, 3million, and 4million miles. Called the Million Miler program. If your objective is just lifetime *G status then OZ (Asiana) is probably easiest, but not a great program otherwise.

I suspect others do as well but it's not something I keep up on since UA has been my primary ever since the merger with CO.

I've read that SK used to give lifetime gold after 10 consecutive years of earning gold. Not sure if they still do.

Does this mean you'll have 24 month to earn the 40k miles?
Qualification
Accumulate 40,000 miles by boarding Asiana Airlines or Star Alliance flights, or board 50 Asiana Airlines flights within 24 months from the base date*

Yup. I was going for LPP status but too far away to get it in the notice period SQ gave before ceasing to offer for new lifetime status.

Yes, but is based on 2 year periods from the date of joining the programme (i.e. no rolling period). OZ has a second lifetime status at 1 million miles.

At or above age 60 if continuous SEN or higher status for 10 years (minimum 1 million status miles) then lifetime SEN is awarded.
