MLL

The int'l MLL in YYZ is pretty good! You can enjoy a meal (time permitting?) - and - they have int'l newspapers!

AC is a funny airline. At YVR, the domestic MLL is far superior to the trans-border lounge (at least for breakfast).

Remember the AC (MLL) lounge in FRA.

The breakfast in the MLL was competitive with the breakfast in the domestic lounge in YVR.

I would also look out for the 777HD used by AC on LHR-YYZ. It has 458 seats and economy is like a sardine can with less galleys and bathrooms. If you have Global Entry, you might be better off with LHR-FRA-BOS as you don't have to go through customs and security after you land on a long flight.

I flew AC J on a 777 (not HD) from YYZ-FRA and then LH J 747-8 from FRA-DEL last October. Honestly it is very comparable. The AC J pods are nice in that they're private whereas the LH seats have you very close to your neighbour. That may bother some people to be so close to someone else when you're sleeping. The 747-8 IFE is nicer and I always like the upper deck on a 747 for that smaller feel.

Service was also comparable - very robotic on LH and average on AC, but still nice for both, at least compared to other non-asian carriers.

I'll take UD on a 747 over almost anything. Go LH ^

When did LH change the upper deck from F to C?

LH 748 has had C on the upper deck and F in the nose since initial delivery, only the 744 has F up there. Note the reference from Want2Fly4ever about the 747-8 FRA-DEL, that's an entirely different configuration than the 747-400.

I would do AC. It is a shorter time in Y on a trans-Atlantic flight.
