anyone doing the same? and which program are you going to now to keep your *G?
im moving back to OZ. 40k per 2 years on OZ is better than 48k per 2 years on aegean. at least 20k per return trip is achievable on this planet (eg:SYD-LHR).

If you already have your *G from A3 then the retention is only 24k miles a year if you have no A3 metal flights. I know its semantics but 24k a year vs 48k per 2 years, either way sure sounds manageable. With their new award chart for Aegean flights, I can see where redemptions in that region are pretty attractive. Already their partner award chart is quite decent and you're not getting away from Fuel Surcharges by going to OZ.

I'm not a FlyerTalk regular (so please be gentle) but am pondering this same question. Mostly I fly UA out of SFO in Z, so made up this chart:
Just qualified for *G on A3 and am flying the end of this month. Pre-Nov. 24 miles on A3 won't count for requalification so I should use that trip in another program. I'm more interested in status than awards.
Am thinking about asking for a status match on TK which probably won't come through in time, but applying this flight there anyway. Does that make sense?
