Eva Air Miles and Cash Program
Hi. Sorry I am a relative newbie. I have booked a flight from LAX to TPE, using cash and leftover eva air miles (about 13000 miles). It discounted the flight about $125. I booked into fare class (L). There is no upgrade. I listed my frequent flyer program as Aegean Airlines as I am trying to obtain gold status more quickly. I contacted star alliance and assured that the mileage would accrue at 100% even if I used the small discount from the eva air miles since it was in fare class L. Is this correct? Does anyone have experience with this? It would seem as if one could use a lot of their eva air miles, just shy of a reward flight and also get a lot of mileage. Thanks.

If your ticket shows booking class L, according to the earning chart of M&B you should get 100% of the miles.
You are right, seems kind of a loophole, but you seem to be fine.
