TSN/PEK to NYC, who to fly with?

Hi all, I am planning a family trip and I am flying out of EWR to China, and then return.

I plan to book EWR-HKG-PVG on CX J, since there are 5 business award seats that open up. However, on the return, I'd like to fly back from TSN or PEK (TSN prefered) into NYC (EWR prefered) but don't know which *A partner to fly with. I am booking with UA miles.

I know EVA offers good business product, but I must book the flight 10-11 months out. I cannot wait until a few months before departure. Then I looked into TSN-ICN-JFK, but an overnight connection is involved at ICN, and I strongly prefer not to do that. Also PEK-NRT-ORD-EWR, but that's too many connections.

Any recommendations on how I can get from TSN/PEK to NYC? I prefer not to have overnight connections and prefer not to fly in/out at odds hours (late night/early morning).

Thanks in advance!

The best one I see is TK PEK-IST 00:10 - 05:25 connecting to TK IST-JFK 07:25 - 11:20.
Both involve late night/early morning departures, though.

Edit: Sorry, how about AC PEK-YYZ 18:05-18:50, then connect to AC
flight departing 8:35PM/8:45 PM/8:50 PM - 1 each to LGA/EWR/JFK.

Why? so you have to connect in Canada, and add a short haul domestic J flight at the end of your longhaul?

Air China is a no brainer. The 777 J is better than UA

The long way, I would look into TK, LX or LO, with one connection.

I don't want to fly on UA.

I will look for some CA long haul biz reviews. I started my research on BR and NH because I know they offer quality business class products.

You don't want to fly on UA.
You don't want to fly at "odd" hours.
You don't want to have an overnight connection.

Tip of the hat to ya.

Thanks. And my hat off to you for having no preference when it comes to flying. I don't like odd hours because I have elderly in my group. I don't want to fly UA because... well.. If you're redeeming 60k+ for biz would your first choice be UA?

I cannot seem to find a lot of availability for two award seats on NRT-JFK, PEK-JFK, PEK-IST-JFK... What's the easiest way to fly from PEK to NYC (preferably EWR) for two award tickets? I would prefer to fly on an Asian or European carrier.

Another caveat is I have to book as far in advance as possible. So I cannot wait until a few weeks before to fly PEK-FRA-EWR on LH.
