Best * Alliance Carrier (Seats/Service/Etc) for J/F UA Award Travel from Bali to LAX?

I am planning on using Chase Rewards Points to purchase a First or Business class flight through "UA" from Denpasar to LAX. I have the option of flying first class on Air China with connections on Singapore Air in business class. Or I could fly straight business class on Asiana Air, ANA, Turkish, Thai or United itself. Which option has the best seats and service.
Thanks for the input

UA Award Travel

Business on ANA Asiana or Turkish. Singapore is best but not direct.

Ok. Business on ANA etc. is better than first class on Air China?

Welcome to Flyertalk. I have moved your thread from the general MilesBuzz! forum to the dedicated MileagePlus forum which is the best place to search for information about any UA related topic.

Sorry for the location of original posting.

What is wrong with Air China first class since I am hearing that business class on others is much better.

What's the routing on CA? Long haul F on CA is better than most C.
Overall the answer will depend on routing and aircraft
Both NH and OZ have older slanted C seats on some routes but new C on others. I would look at that and the most convenient timing.

Air China from PEK-LAX 777-300 in First or

ANA All Nippon HND-LAX 777-200 in Business or

Asiana Air from ICN-LAX 747-400 in Business or

Turkish Air from JAK-IST and IST-LAX A330 and 777-300 ER in Business.

Old C product on this route, which means slanted lie flats instead of 180 degree lie flats. I would avoid if at all possible.

If you're talking about Jakarta, CGK is the proper IATA code.

That's not how you post images on the internet.

For OZ you want the 772 with the new product, not the angled flat product on the 744.

Personally, I would choose Turkish through Istanbul, try for <24 hr layover and see a bit of Istanbul.

I would choose TK as well, DPS-SIN/BKK-IST-LAX

Air China F/C would be also a great option PEK-LAX with connections on SQ business.

+1 on TK. If you are on their 777 or A330 with the new C lie flats (which IST-LAX must be I'm sure), its a nice ride with good food, and the lounge at IST is excellent. Plus, if you can swing some sightseeing in Istanbul its a great bonus.

ANA is nice, but more often than not I get stuck with their old non-lie flats which are not great. SQ is SQ, great, but I'd still go for TK in this case. I've been less than lucky getting the new seats on OZ and ICN and Seoul just have never done it for me. I've never flown CA, so no opinion there.

Of course, anything but UA is a decent rule for Asia C, but for me I'd take (and always do) United new C over ANA old C.

I flew OZ to ICN. I loved the seats and service. It was the777-200 with the new configuration. I also agree with the others. Fly TK so you can experience IST and their lounge.

Does CA in C/F offer menus catering to specific routes, say Thai food from BKK or ...something (also) not Chinese on routes to Europe?

Many airlines that still offer free meals in Y give me the benefit of the doubt by making those meals edible. Airlines from China are very much exempt from this...
